Dirty WHOers Podcast - Episode 7

So, here we are again. Another 35 minutes of interruptive alcohol abuse, under the tenuous question mark umbrella of Whodom.

This week we look at the latest offering from The Moff, penned by Mark Gattis, Victory of the Daleks, with redesigned "new paradigm" Kaled wheel chairs and some fine British actors whos agents should probably know better.

Comments welcome, below ;-)

This is one of the LOST DirtyWHOers Episodes, no longer available for streaming from iTunes etc., but is available for download from our Dropbox archive HERE.

I hadn't heard the description of iDalek before but you're spot on Victor. WTF is with the new design?

YAY! I got a namecheck!

* is all honoured and stuff *

I had pretty much the same view as you guys did of the ep (review here on my blog), but I loved the Renault Megane description. I have printed out the TO VICTORY! Khaki Dalek and put it up next to the Lib Dem poster in my window... And speaking of Lib Demmery, I think you kind of concentrated a bit much on the two lesser parties when you were talking about the election. EVERYONE knows that the Lib Dems are the party of Doctor Who geeks. If you want to correct that I'd be happy to do a guest slot on the show - I do have podcast experience (I've been on House of Comments for example).

Yeah, alas our own personal political rants had to hit the cutting the room floor, but confess I too will be voting 'yellow Dalek' :-)

I'm hoping, if nothing else, their stance on the Digital Economy Bill will wake a few people up and get them out voting this time...

Just listened. Love the show. Was blown away that my name was dropped. Awesome!! Don't you think you could have used a positive adjective before talking about my work tho?? HA HA.

oh dear! well I'm pretty sure I've talked your art up on a couple of posts, in type if not spoken word, lol.
I'll try to keep it in mind next time I talk about your FABULOUS and AMAZING artwork, Mister Jon Pinto~! ;-)
The McGann image is on my computer desktop, currently, and next to the cutest photo of Hartnell poking his head out from inside a Dalek body. What a scamp!

Thank you! thank you for finaly convincing me to step back from fandom, stop listening to the various podcasts and browsing the forums.
After a week of constant negativity in which Moffat,Gattis and everyone connected to the show has been thrown under the bus for daring to change the design of the daleks, I was standing at the checkout in Asda and in the oppossite Isle there were two kids running about and playing Daleks, having the time of their lives! It was then it struck me, This show isnt being made for 35yr olds!,and I've been listening to the views of 35yr olds for the past week telling me how awful Victory of the Daleks was and just how terrible a crime Moffat had commited by altering the arse of a Dalek.
I came home and downloaded your latest podcast to hear a group of the most boring and selfrightious adults complain that Spitfires wouldent be able to use their propellers in space, and that World War 2 afficionardos wouldent approve of the characterisation of Churchill! collectively you have managed to suck the last piece of the 8yr old out of me as regards this story. However I really must thank you, because it was this podcast that finaly made me realise the error of my ways, and If I am to continue to enjoy the show in the way it was intended to be enjoyed I have to make a clean brake from 'fandom' and go back to enjoying it as I did when I was 8 years old, Ignorant of anyone elses opinion other than my own.

See, you did need me there to tell you all off for being miseries!

Maybe its because of the jet-lag, but it wasn't that bad. Mr Gatiss has always been a bit wobbly in the scripting department and yes, the Dalek's bums do look big in this.

But he wellied the crap out of one with a giant wrench! How squee-worthy was that? I vote we keep the cute, WWII daleks and their obsession with tea making and just hope that the new ones are only seen from the front in future.

All hail Jammy Dodgers!
